It seems everyone has jumped on him because he looked toward Ibra before he hit him but he also isn't actually looking at him when he makes the contact. To me it's tougher than the pundits seem to be saying it is

I reckon he meant to clip him on the head but caught a bit more of his head than he intended.
I'd say he definitely wanted to catch him though, intimidation or just trying to wind him up I'm not sure, but it was naughty in my opinion.

Looking at it again I think it's possible Mings looks at Zlatan and realizes he needs to jump over him and looks away misjudging where he is putting his foot down to run and catches his head

I don't get this logic. Ibra didn't have a look at Mings before swinging his elbow so he didn't mean to?

What's not to understand? Mings looks right at Ibra, so utilizing that information he just gathered you could assume any athlete in their prime could miss Ibra's head on his landing. Instead his studs go directly onto his head.

Just because Ibra didn't doesnt directly look at mings before he hit him doesnt mean that wasnt intentional either. Anyone, especially athletes, can use cues either visual or by touch to see where someone is. Ibra felt mings next to him and used his elbow to bash him in the had.
