Unlike most I hold no ill will to mikel, one of the finest footballers to play for us in the prem era, pre injury he was on the same level as alonso, he was that good, I imagine though he is quite happy where he is for the moment

Him and Cahill are best buds, but I wouldn't put Mikel in the die-hard Evertonians catagory. He likely wouldn't be on a par with big Dunc, Unsworth or Timmy Cahill for that matter.

I don't dislike the fella, and he was a brilliant spark of creativity in an otherwise workmanlike Moyes side - I just don't get the sudden lovefest for him because he was seen at Goodison a few days ago.

He couldn't mesh with Fellani, who was clearly better at the time and the side was worse when both played at the same time. He'd just run around the back looking for something to do. There is a reason why we got better after he left. We got his best years, and he never asked for a move at the time.

Getting worked up about Arteta leaving is like fuming because Joe Allen went to another club. Because that's all he was when he wasn't an attacking mid anymore.
