Got a picture hanging on my wall of my dad and his mates celebrating after the game ( he passed away at xmas) so it would be nice if i can hang another picture next to it of me and my mates doing the same 50 years later
Hope so mate ;)

Lovely thought. Hope you get whatever you want.

‘If I see Alex Young now (his erstwhile team-mate known as the ‘Golden Vision’) I still call him Mr Young, because he was a superstar in my eyes.’

How well that sentence reflects on both men. Thank you, Mike Trebilcock, you were a key man in getting EFC to the top
in the 60's and you made me so happy.

Sorry mate can't respond with anything not pushing a ban...

Trebilcock came from Cornwall, where there is a saying By Tre Pol and Pen / Shall ye know all Cornishmen.

Tre
in the Cornish language means a settlement or homestead; Pol, a pond, lake or well; and Pen (also Welsh and Cumbric), a hill or headland.

Cornish surnames and place names are generally pronounced with the emphasis on the second syllable. So it's Tre-BILL-co.

I actually struggle to remember any other game that he played in. He only played in 11 games and scored 3 goals - 2 at Wembley. I wonder who the other goal was against? When all is said and done his Cup final exploits will always live on.

If we get through today and win in the semi, how good would it be of Everton to get as many of the '66 team/squad together at Wembley off the final... I'm filling up just thinking about it.

Thanks for that. Let's just say it adds class to an awkward name ;)
