in memoriam - 1965-2024
Last ever commentary tonight after 30 years.

One of the best IMO.

A lot of the current crop could do worse than listen back to how he did it so well.

I've watched every match possible with the 5 live commentary.

He will be missed, dread who they'll get to replace him. If it's that bint who's on match of the day I think I'll be envying the sensorially impaired.

Its John Murrey. Think he is the one from Newcastle. Well, the NE at least.

He is ok, no Ingham mind.

Don't know too much about him but heard his interview today talking about England at major tournaments he came across as a genuinely nice guy. He gave his analysis of the England years of failure and I realised he was a complete tool.

As soon as these fellas and all the other hangers on and cronies too close to the subject pack in using the word "luck" we can make a start as it is head in the sand prevails - bellend.
