Midwife strike

There's no way on call midwifery would be ever not covered. The brunt of it would be covered by hospital staff and extra pressure on an already stretched system. Which is unfair. But when the midwives don't get a raise and MP's, ect do.. I can see why they've pushed for this.

What's the doctors shout on pay, mate? I'm surprised the BMA hasn't been one of the loudest voices as they don't normally hide in the background!

TBH, I haven't heard much, even in work. I go in, slog my guts, and come home, and try not to think about it. I don't particularly like healthcare and politics, they are often opposed. I just want to do my job. My pay went up for the first time in four years last year, and at the end of the day, I've enough for what I need now till the kids arrive.
