I think if they are going to strike then they should at least have the decency to give people 9 mths notice.

........I think this is a difficult discussion to enter without looking at broader NHS issues as well as public sector cuts in general. All very emotive, especially if directly impacted.
Oh sure. Midwives are not known for their militant tendencies are they? It was more like, how do they actually go on strike? I assume they will draft in agency staff or something.

...ok, just checked with daughter Dr Eggs who works in a NW General Hospital. She said the indication is it wont impact delivery wards but would be focused on the day clinics. If it isn't they will probably have more doctors available.
