The best tales like this that I have all involve a particular friend. He’s very smart, but can’t spell his own name unless it’s already written down. That’s the best way I can describe him. I’m not sure how to share any stories in an accessible way but I’ll see what I can come up with.

Was headed to university one day a long time ago and there were two police deputies on motorcycles driving up the highway, side by side. Very obviously on the lookout for speeders. We’re all bunched up behind and trying not to go too fast when some guy comes weaving through traffic and zips right past them. Lights and siren went on immediately. It had to be the easiest ticket of their careers.

I’ve got a mate we call Fudge as that’s what he got in his GCSE’s. He was working with a mate and his dad once doing loft conversions. Our mates dad gave him about a 20 minute lecture on asbestos and to not go near it.

While he was working away a piece of asbestos kept rubbing his hand, he got so angry with it he went to smash it with his hammer and the other 2 had to wrestle him to the floor he was caught in such a rage.

Watched a kid at school stare at a door, slowly put his fingers out and in the gap between the door and frame by the hinges then wonder why he no longer had fingernails and there was blood everywhere when someone opened the door. Like you could see him thinking it all through and the whole process took about 20 seconds and I was just stood there dumbfounded.

Anyway, he’s an engineer for nuclear power stations now. God help us.

Reminds me of the old joke about the long haired biker stood at the urinals. Lad next to him notices he has MOD tattooed on his johnson.

He tells the biker he’s a bit surprised to see someone like him with a MOD tattoo.

“It says MOtorheaD you pillock”

Used to work with a girl who was in her 20s, single but had 2 kids from different fellas. She was nice but extremely gullible. She didn't know taboo was an alcoholic drink. I said "that explains a lot". She didn't get what I was insinuating.
