God, don't start a thread just with someone's name, thought he'd run Out of Time or something. Big fan since I discovered them on a school trip to France in the 90s. First time I heard Losing My Religion, still the one I love the most after all these years. Not a big fan of the bald head/big grey beard look he went to in his later years in the public eye. Always had a lot of drive for social issues, but went a bit extreme I think before he seemed to disappear off the radar. Probably off nightswimming or some other nocturnal activity. Always was a bit of a daysleeper. Had some monster hits and was automatic(ally) for the people, so lots of respect to him. Gutted I never got to see them live before Bill Berry left, but it's not the end of the world (as we know it), and I feel fine.
