I was about to write something but my fingers exploded and then my hands fell off my wrists.

I am currently typing this with my tongue because I tried to use my nose but I hit the keys too hard and broke it

He's had a great career. At his peak he was one of the most lethal strikers in the world.. top 3 or so.

I don't know if I fully buy that injuries curtailed his career towards the end. I mean, yes there was always an element of that, but when he lost his pace he wasn't really interested in adapting his game, and more importantly had just lost his hunger for football.

But the lad done well. Could have done a lot worse. Could have done a Jeffers...

It all went wrong for him when he done his cruciate early on in that game in the 2006 WC.

Ironically I think Rooney's early England career was as good as it was in part due to having Michael Owen in the team as the out and out striker so that Rooney could do what does best. He's never really scaled those heights since.

Good point about Rooney.
