MOSHIRI OUT
Moved into a new room in London last week and the bastards conveniently forgot to mention that the house has mice. Apparently been a problem for weeks now and they've got poison down.

Kinda disgusted tbh. Signed up to a 6 months tenancy and now have this to deal with.. and it's not even the winter yet, which is pest central in the Big Smoke.

Any legal folk know where I stand? Gonna assume I can't break the contract cause of this but are they obligated to tell me about pest problems before I move in?

And what's best way to get rid of them? The poison the other housemates have down clearly aint working too well if they're still roaming around. At uni caught 2 in the space of an hour with peanut butter on mousetraps, however, that caused a mess as one was completely obliterated by the trap and was a nightmare to clean/pick up.

According to https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/repairs/pests_and_vermin_infestations_in_rented_homes , sawdust seems to be the answer.

There's only one way to get rid of them :

Get yourself a Honey Badger mate, it'll sort out the other housemates too.

You're welcome x

They've gone into training to prepare for the imminent threat.

Yes, obliged to inform you if they were aware (Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regs 2008), and they are obliged to deal with the problem. You've only just moved in, so you can't have caused the rodent infestation.
