The Stones bit was a bit of a ramble, I understand it but to be honest as long as he doesn't cost us goals he can do what he wants. Smash it to row Z or do some turns I'm not bothered.

The Martinez bit he is spot on, listening to 5 Live last week and I think it was Sam Wallace (Telegraph?) Who was asked by Mark Pougatch why journos don't question Martinez more and if it was because he was just a nice guy and he didn't really give a straight answer, it was very strange.

I personally think the reason why most people think everton actually played quite well isn't because martinez brainwashed them to forget how awful we were but because we normally play quite well, but that might be just me.

He's largely spot on there to be fair. The MIB thing is oddly spot on too. Same mistakes game after game, and frankly its nice to see someone calling Roberto out for having this quality group of players underachieving. Mahrez aside I wouldn't have any of them ahead of our lads.

I agree that generally we do play well.

The problems are, for me, that we give the ball away too easily, and that we seem to want to play from the back even at 90+2, when a long ball will do just fine thank you.

....Danny Murphy (of all people) said those being overly critical of Stones don't know what they are talking about. According to him, Stones is already a top player and will go on to become England's greatest ever defender. He says he has no doubt about this.
