Merseyside Walking

Think The Hightown is shut for a refurb at the minute but agree this is a belter walk. I regularly run from Seaforth to the Hightown along the front and it’s a great route.
Damn you’re right. Thanks, that’s my Sunday lunchtime plan knackered. Hopefully it will open soon

Crosby where all the bricks are on the shore. In theory can you walk along the sand from there if the tide is out all the way to Southport? Or is there any parts that are always under either mud or water?
Think it's a way-marked route - the Sefton coastal path. Just need to walk through Hightown behind the army camp like piijt said but at Formby you can get back on the beach. The coastal path used to go behind the dunes through the woods IIRC but you could walk all along the beach to Southport if you liked. V solitary and empty feeling once you're past Fisherman's path, although it would be a decent stretch to Southport from Crosby, prob 15 miles.

Thanks guys, I might go check some out, was thinking of driving over, parking, walking 7 or 8km and finding a way to do that and jump a train back to my car.
Rather then walk for 3 or 4km then double back.
