Merseyside Food Bank needs our help !!!

Guys and gals,
The Food For Thought Foodbank in Liverpool is running low on stocks of food and simple toiletries - can we try to help them ??

One of the chefs and organisers is a True Blue and she needs our help.

Tinned goods, packets of rice and pasta and simple bathroom items like soap, toothpaste and shampoo would all be massively appreciated.

All donations can be delivered to Paula Smith at 429 Hunts Cross Avenue, Woolton, L25 8SY.

Sad in this day and age that people have to rely on food banks.

One of my friends (also a true Blue) messaged me with the same about Fans Supporting Food Banks which a lot of you will know about as they are at all home games for us and the rs...North Liverpool Food bank are in real difficulties.. Ta Andy C for raising this...

Have they got onto the charity list at their local Tesco store ?

Loads of food donated everyday to these charities with gear on that days date.

Easy to freeze fresh stuff and ambient food stays sound for days.

A few times a week some charities don't bother turning up to collect it either, and a manager can then ring up another to come and get it if they have a contact number.

I still can't get my head around the disparity of a food bank yards away from the stadium, where we go and watch multi-millonaires kick a ball on grass.

This is not a dig at the players at all, just a reflection of the state of the country.

I know I've mentioned this before but if you are thinking of donating anything, please consider buying ( or get you Mum/sister/wife/girlfriend to buy) sanitary products. Period poverty is a very real thing - girls are missing school because they cannot afford to buy these items. Thanks.

Neo liberalism just doesn’t work. People need to rally against it.
I sadly don’t believe there’s a solution that suits everyone, but I know for certain this isn’t it.
