My nephew (7) has finally taken an interest in football, was thinking of buying him a box of stickers/cards for Christmas. I know when I was a kid I'd have killed to get something like that, in fact I've still got all my old Panini albums.
But what do you reckon would be the best ones to buy, the merlin stickers or match attax cards?

I know the missus' little brother likes match attack cards but that could just be his preference, I used to love the Panini/merlin sticker books as a kid

Match Attax were massive a few years ago, we'd swap them in school everyday until we were banned from bringing them in.

Stickers are boss though. Haven't done a proper one in years, probably cos I'm 20 in a few weeks and don't want to be buying stickers out of our shop.

My 6 year old son is into Match Attax and it costs me an absolute fortune. but I actually enjoy collecting as much as he does.
He hasn't got the hang of swapping yet and just gives them away!! kids eh?
We used to collect footy cards when I was a kid, you used to get a strip of some kind of bubble gum in with the pack.
We didn't do swapsies but played a game where you'd all line up about 10 yards from a wall and throw/spin your cards to land near the wall.
The card that landed nearest the wall won all the other cards. great game.
School banned that after a while as well!!
