1982 - Italy. Paulo Rossi's hat-trick against Brazil.
!990 - Italy. 'Gazza' in tears.

When Clive Thomas blew up as Zico' s header was going in the net. Brazil v Sweden 1978. Brilliant!

There was also that defender from Zaire, I think, who ran out of the wall and 'wellied' the ball up the field as Brazil were going to take a free kick. World Cup 1974.

Mendieta's penalty against Ireland in 2002 hitting the line of the 6 yard box and leaving the ground just enough to go over Shay Given and into the back of the net sending Ireland packing.

Funky goal posts! Thats my childhood memories of World Cups. Not your standard two posts and a cross bar like we used to have. I'm talking funky nets different colours, posts in the back of the net to make the top of the net stick out.

Yes, surely got to mention 'the Cruyff turn' which I first saw in the World Cup in 1974!
