Player Valuation: £30m
*disclaimer* I have only been following Everton since 2005

Nevertheless, one of the most memorable seasons I got to experience as a young Evertonian was the Everton UEFA Cup campaign of 07/08. We went down in flames vs Fiorentna, but almost made a comeback that 2nd leg. Although, I have never visited Goodison Park. The atmosphere looked and sound absolutely on another level that night. I actually cried, when Arteta scored that screamer on the 2nd leg. In the season we actually finished 5th, back we properly had the tittle of "best of the rest". Manuel Fernandes was actually boss. The feed the yak posts were booming on a daily basis. Probably one of the most solid backlines in recent times,

Leighton Lescott Jagielka and ermm Hibbert (or Neville)

Van der Meyden's drunken antics were more polished then a certain Mr. Gibson. Andrew Johnson was a diminutive FW who could actually bang in goals. Steven Pienaar played like a poor man's Ronaldinho. Jack Rodwell played like Tom Davies, except way better. James Vaughan was fast, but made out of glass. We got to see some boss goals by Mcfadden in his prime. We had Froddo Baggins on the roster in the name of John Paul Kissock. Times were good...

what's your most memorable season as a Blue?

94/95 ‘going down ? Are we Fck , we stayed up and won the cup’

95/96 kanchelskis

That’s it for me . The rest since mean very little .

McFadden had a prime?

I’m lucky enough for my season to be 84-85. We were a win machine. I was 21, single and could afford to go home and away despite living in Newcastle. The missus is aware that our wedding is only the second greatest day of my life after Rotterdam

In premier league history, the Martinez season 1 is the absolute best bar none.

The best togger, the best results, the best excitement.

Indisputable.

Easy to pick 84-85 as that was fantastic but for me I will pick 94-95. Hollywood movie scripts would struggle to make such a despair to triumph tale.

Desperate under Walker, Royle comes in and from rock bottom we turn the RS over with Ferguson announcing himself.

Played some fantastic football and won the cup against all the odds.

Magic.
