This is exactly it - this is exactly why Arsenal fans won't accept 4th place every year as good enough, why Spurs wanted more than 5th or 6th, Why City dump Pellegrini, why Chelsea removed Jose, why Moyes lasted less than one season at Old Trafford... why Rodgers had to go, why Fat Sam had to go at West Ham..

And obviously the same applies in other top leagues.

But Everton... well we're good to finish 7th and 8th and reach an odd semi final. Even 11th and 12th will do now..

PRINT THE ARTICLE OFF AND HAND IT TO THOSE THAT NEED TO READ IT. It doesn't condemn Martinez in any shape or form (plenty of that elsewhere) - it's not condescending, it's just the truth.

This once proud club is on its knees. A laughing stock, an embarrassment.

I stopped reading after this, there's me thinking we had a big future with our new billionaire owner about to spend big in the summer ?
