Rafael's standing (in my opinion) is such that he can cherrypick opportunities as they arise. I don't see an enormous amount of ambition within the current structure at Villa and as such I can't envisage for a moment that Rafael would choose to manage such a shambles.
After tasting the dizzying heights of the Champions League and the top of the league table, I'm not sure scrambling around looking for a draw away at Swansea would hold much allure.
It'll be one of those silly situations where Villa will take a manager from those around them in the table, and that club will take on the next manager to be sacked.
