"He has been charged with accidental injuries, failure to control his vehicle, driving without a licence and hit-and-run," said a police source close to the investigation.

Niang, who joined Montpellier last month from AC Milan, will appear before a judge on February 24 and faces a maximum sentence of five years in jail and a 75,000 euros ($102,000) fine.

Ironically his surname reads like a speeding F1 car.

Close call with this guy it seems
Glad he picked Milan
On topic of which-
OBVIOUSLY I'm not comparing size, fanbase and trophy cabinets and everything because Milan are one of football's true undisputed super-clubs, but right now at this moment in time is Everton a more attractive prospect for a player than AC Milan?

No. We are still might aswell be midtable, in reality.

Milan are playing in a guff league that is watched by approximately 12 fans per week, and they're mid-table in said league. A spectacular demise for such a famous club. I can't see any of the world's elite players wanting to go and play in Serie A in the near future, apart from maybe to Juventus

You obvisouly have no idea what you are talking about.

Roma & Napoli have some fantastic players, and are playing some great stuff.

Their players are not "world's elite" players at all. Napoli have Higuain fair enough, but they've had to sell Lavezzi and Cavani in the last 2 years as well. Hence why they didn't get out of their Champions League group. As for Roma, they are still relying on a 37 year old Totti and have Gervinho in their team

Honda went there. Still miffed about that, he would have been almost spot on perfect for us.

This shows what you actually know about football.

Napoli "HAD" to sell ??? they got silly offers. Just like teams in England do, and spent the money on replacements.

Gervinho has been brilliant, in a system that actaully allows him to get on the pitch. Not all players work out in all league. Henry was poor in Italy, so was Bergkamp !!

The defending in the Prem is shocking. Italy build on solid defense. Its an art form they have mastered.

Just compare the Italian national team to ours. Serie A has been that bad, its won the World Cup in recenct times.

Reason, they care more about the quality of its national team, rather than the 'Product of Serie A'.
