Maybe we could do with Scott Parker?

Royal Blue Jersey

Player Valuation: £35m
Apparently Parker was very impressive in our match with West Ham yesterday, and as people are always banging on about needing a dominant central midfielder, maybe Parker is the answer? Another player small in stature which is not a good thing, but he looked classy with a brilliant engine and passing range on him.
Maybe too steep for our price range, but definately the kind of player we should be looking into.

Dogs of War

It's something that Moyes instilled superbly and very early on in his reign that Everton, defensively, will work as a team, shut out the opponents and will give 100% effort. We have often been accused of being laughably yardog like under Moyes, defensive, boring, but this Dogs of War attitude is one of the most valuable principles Moyes has established within the team and I hope we never ever lose it. His coaching in this area is top notch, this season Moyes has improved our play and bought quality players in key areas, but the defensive base and that hardworking mindset were the true foundations. Players like Arteta, Pienaar and Osman, our most creative players, will graft all day in the midfield, tracking back and shutting opponents out. It is a fantastic system and it works because all the players want it to work, you can see that they are all fighting for each other. The solidity and desire to defend is superb from Yakubu right back to Lescott through Carsley and Cahill and everybody.

We have right now a very accomplished attitude to games, both home and away but particularily away where we have been excellent at keeping clean sheets (0-2 Nuremburg, 0-2 Derby, 0-0 Portsmouth, 0-1 Luton, 0-2 West Ham - perfect examples of our proffesionalism on the road. So the quality of teams, ok, isn't grea but we still had to go their and get the job done) and attacking teams at the right time, and playing patient keep-ball when we have to. Absolutely brilliant tactical work - Moyes is a top notch manager, and I thank him for the joy that he has given us, even if a trophy might be out of reach this season, he will always be the Moyesiah for me.

I was pretty impress with Solano & Parker today I think they would be good addition, but of course if we actually could buy them!

Roque Santa Cruz would be a good addition although he is classified as a striker, but he would suited in the same role as Cahill as a Attacking Midfielder!

had his chance to join us and wear the famous everton shirt. As I remember he was more concerned about making the same kind of money he was on at Stamford bridge - and turned his nose up at us. Luckily newcastle are there in the league to weed out mercenaries (why else would you play for such a [Poor language removed] club) so they snapped him up on 60k a week.

Now he is at west ham, who also have a policy of paying stupid wages in order to secure ambition lite players (lucas Neil, Upson, Bowyer, Dyer, - they matched dyers 90k a week wages by all accounts, not bad for a player that manages 15-20 games a season).

Moyes has been an admirer for a long time. Parker knows this, but is really just concerned about money. We could do with someone with more ambition and drive - Parker had the chance to play for a young manager who twice has won manager of the year awards - and has built a team frugally from the bottom up , a team in the ascendancy.

He just doesn't give a monkeys about all that. Cash is what gets him out of bed.

Honestly with their new chairman, west ham are the new idiots with money in the premiership. Watch a host of talented but unambitious names drift to West Ham for the easy ride; a midtable finish in a squad of about 35 players (half all on the sick) all drawing at least 70k a week. What a doss.

No mercenaries at Everton.

Parker was the best player on the pitch for them, but do we really need him? Moyes has put together a cheap(ish) team that has evolved into so much more...

to sign scott parker may just be another flop, a waste of money, an injury prone player who is not guaranteed to start...lets get some more skill in

Leon, agreed mate. There was a time I would have said yes and yesterday he was brilliant. Just look at his injury record, he'll miss more than VDM with a hang over. As Leon says, he had his chance...................

surely its shandy's big day next week. in Holland.

possibly his final appearance in an everton shirt (if he plays).

Wonder what would happen if he played a blinder? Probs not likely. Moyes hasn't played him for a reason methinks.

I have it from my contacts he wants to go to Holland on loan and is certain to in Jan, I'll buy the [Poor language removed] bags ticket:angry:

Screw him. He had his chance to join us. But was too obsessed with money and joining a so-called "big" club.

parker is getting on now, and that so called challenge on nevs would have been punished had he been wearing everton blue.

let moyes bring vogel in and show us all how good a player he is with the proper motivation.
