I fully expect England to be a complete let-down and bomb out at the end of the group stage, perhaps after 3 straight draws or maybe even a defeat (probably against the French).

I'll still be there, though, having fun and cheering them on. But as with every other tournament (been going since Italia 90 (when we were good/spawny/both)) I'm not building them up too much and don't expect anything other than a feeling of abject mediocrity.

At least that way it won't be a huge disappointment. Unlike 99% of the whoppers out there who'll suck in all the pre-Euro hype and expect us to walk it with our feet tied together.

Oh, and I'll once again be observing a 1km exclusion zone from the display of bellendery from jester-hatted, face-painted, zany-curly-wig-wearing, chainmail suit-wearing utter mongs. And that band. Jesus wept....

What's wrong with the band? Adds a bit of atmosphere, gets a bit of a sing going. Harmless fun.

The stifle the atmosphere. Inane tunes that trundle on and on and on and on and on....

And the tunes they do bang out? The flipping A Team them tune? WTF has that got to do with football? They should be shot.

The best games are those like Liechtenstein away when the band bellends don't have enough caps to all get a ticket.

Have to agree the band is annoying.

I used to go to Sheffield Wednesday a bit in my youth and they just annoy everyone.

Aren't they just copying the Dutch anyway?
