Polish striker Radoslaw Matusiak has confirmed interest from multiple Premier League clubs, including Derby County and Everton.

The Palermo player - whose team-mate Andrea Caracciolo was also linked with the Toffees - has stated he's recieved offers from Russia, Italy and England.

"Clubs from the Premier League want to sign me and surprisingly Palermo have agreed to negotiate a deal," Matusiak stated to Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza.

"My manager is dealing with the matter and he has informed me that Derby County have tabled a concrete offer.

"They want to loan me with an option of a permanent transfer. Palermo have started negotiations but I have heard they have done this reluctantly. Everything will be clarified this week."

"Apart from Derby, Everton and one more mid-table Premiership club have asked about me. Furthermore, I still have an offer from Russia. I do not complain of lack of offers but the Palermo authorities are not eager to let me go."

Labeling Everton a "mid-table" club isn't the surest way of winning over future fans, and will surely call into question the players ambition. However, he does have the ambition to play in Premier League, but states that Derby County is his preferred destination.

"However, I prefer the Premier League. I wonder which option will be the best for me. I suppose it is Derby County and... I count on them the most."

Everton continue to be strongly linked with club-record moves for Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Manuel Fernandes in todays press.

Radosław Matusiak (born January 1, 1982 in Łódź) is a Polish footballer who is currently playing for U.S. Città di Palermo in the Italian Serie A.

Matusiak was part of the Polish U-16 team which placed second at Euro U-16 Cup in 1999. In 2006 he got his first senior international cap. He got his first goal on September 6, 2006 in a Euro 2008 qualifier against Serbia. On November 15 he also scored the only goal in a qualification match against Belgium in Brussels, keeping alive his country's hopes of qualifying.

Matusiak's contribution at the senior national team level caught the eyes of a handful of clubs in Europe during the winter transfer window. Speculation of the Polish striker joining Italian side U.S. Città di Palermo, third-placed in the Serie A league at the time, was finally realized when on 30 January 2007 Matusiak was announced with the rosanero, after having signed a 3.5 year contract with the Sicilian club worth nearly 2 mln euro. After a couple of substitute appearances, Matusiak made his debut in the starting lineup on May 13, 2007 in a league match against Ascoli, promptly scoring his first Serie A goal.

He has recently been linked with Everton and Derby of the F.A. Premier League.

"Apart from Derby, Everton and one more mid-table Premiership club have asked about me."

I don't know what to be more bothered about - the fact he thinks Everton are mid-table or Derby! :D

Anyone born on January 1 is suspect in my eyes.. mostly because all persons that proclaim they don't know their age or pretends they don't remember anything get a birthday on January 1.

Well it just seems to be assumption at its best. Yeah I can go to England and work because they seem to let anyone and everyone into their tiny country.

Do you know there is a Polish shop somewhere in North Wales that doesn't allow British people in.

What the hell is that about? I like Kabanos, why can't I go and get one from this Polski shop? Its not very British is it?

Well I don't mind that, we have Indian sections, Chinese sections. I love ethnic food, I just take offence of not being allowed to enter an ethnic food shop in my own country.

Its ridiculous, and in my opinion Racist.
