Not worth it. Rather bring in some kid to work with Jags and Distin. Upson isn't horrible but unless we sell Distin for some reason I see no need for him right now.

I think Upsons wage demands would be too high for a player that would not be guaranteed a first team place.

He's absolutely awful. One of the worst English centre-halves in the Premier League, and arguably wouldn't get in most Championship sides on merit either. He lives off a reputation that he someone gained over the years.

I'd honestly rather have Duffy in the first team squad than Upson on £30,000 a week stinking up the place. A walking mistake waiting to happen.

So that's a no from me!

He's in the same boat as Joe Cole & Michael Owen. Over the hill ex england international who'll demand big wages based on previous success. Definitely not for us.

Not sure that I rate him that highly, but maybe he just needs his confidence back, with a solid partner like Jags & Is Upson Left footed? I think he is, not sure. If we were to consider Distin leaving (& LCAB said it was a possibility), it'd be because a left footed replacement was available. Just a thought.
