I’m Dan and I’m a newbie on here but I have been following some threads for a while and have (finally) signed up.. I’m a member of another forum which has some threads about Matched betting - which is what this thread will be about.
The people on there make a fair bit of money. So I have been following these ideas and done a few ‘practices’ using the theory without real money and I now reckon I am ready to give it ago. I have a bit of savings so I am going to try and use £1,000 of my savings to make as much money by the end of 2011 as I can..
I reckon £800 is feasible… So my target is to turn £1000 into at least £1800 by New years eve (ish).. it may take longer, and I may fall short on £800. But if you don’t try you don’t succeed! ‘Someone reckoned I could even “double up in a matter of weeks”.
A few sites have been recommended on the matched betting threads, and I’ve found plenty online;
The Gambling Times
The Gold Tiger
The Betting Warehouse
OLBG
etc etc etc
And the two places to help you find bets;
OddsMonkey
Odds Checker
I will be using The Gold Tiger as a base site, mainly because its been recommended to me and has £100 cash back which is a massive step towards my target. I will also try to maximize winnings through finding the best free bets (I’ve seen some on OLBG and herd the racing post has some).
I will try to post every bet here once I’ve made it before the event so anyone interested in following the thread can copy me if they want.
So far I have signed up to Moneybookers and deposited most my money and also Betfair. I will claim my £50 from the gold tiger after I have done my first bet, which will be in tonight’s Carling Cup - I will post my bets soon.
Wish me luck!
