So Wales managed to beat Scotland (sniff it Jock), which was their third win on the bounce, something they haven't managed to do in years, (yes we really are that bad) and now take on Croatia. The Croats are second in Group A, 7 points above Wales, so realistically we have no hope in hell of qualifying for the World Cup in Brazil, but never say never in football.
Who am I kidding? We'll finish 4th behind some jarg Serbian side and that'll be that. At least we aren't Scotland though eh?
The most pleasing thing from a Welsh perspective from that Scotland game was that we were able to turn around and win the game without Gareth Bale for the second half, something Tottenham are unable to do of late. Aaron Ramsey got himself sent off in the dying moments of the game so he'll be out for this one. Jonathan Williams is likely to come in for him (pictured above) who made a real impact against Scotland on Friday, the kids a player, expect him to sign for a Premier League club in the near future.
Croatia have some good players. We have the now Real Madrid player Luka Modric in midfield pulling the strings, Bayern Munich's Mario Mandžukić is likely to start upfront ahead of our temporarily not so boss Jelavic, he's a boss slotter too so it wouldn't surprise me if he scored tonight.
A win for Wales would send them within 4 points of the Croats and would keep any slim hopes of qualification alive, for a short while anyway.
Reason I did this thread is because I'm bored and we have quite a few Welshies on here, so come on Wales FFS, let's try not to be utter turd for just the 90 minutes, I'd like that please as I'm heading to the match. Look out for me on the TV or something, if you know what I look like that is.
