Switzerland head coach Ottmar Hitzfeld must decide whether to start with either of the substitutes who scored in the 2-1 win over Ecuador.

Admir Mehmedi could be preferred to winger Valentin Stocker but match-winner Haris Seferovic admits he is unlikely to displace Josip Drmic.

France are optimistic that midfielder Yohan Cabaye will recover from a groin problem in time to play.

Cabaye, Patrice Evra and Paul Pogba are all one booking from a ban.

Based on whatever you can really call form this early into the WC, France have the advantage going into the match, for me...Especially after how poor the first match against Ecuador was for large portions...Generally speaking, Suisse are both more consistent & disciplined in an otherwise fairly even encounter with their rivals across the border

Mehmedi & Drmic have to start and I suppose Hitzfeld will try again with Xhaka through the middle...If not, Napoli's Džemaili would be a smart & creative alternative

He is, by a country mile, not only the worst pundit ever, but also the worst thing about this WC. Which is ace. But he ruins it for me when he is on.
