Portugal have been toilet, and haven't won a match in 90 minutes and are in the semis. Mad.

They've ruined the format.

In that case they are doing the Euros a great service.

This format stinks and has of itself ruined the tournament.

It needs binned.

24 teams is either too many or too few.

I favour the former.

Get it back to 16 teams.......or failing that make it up to 32 so as you can have two teams coming out of each group.

But the Euros will lose credibility if this farcical system is adhered to.

Poland looked good going forward and that's where their best players were. I have no idea why they stuck with 10 men back. Your odds at winning back to back pens are small.

Yet Poland did? Why?

A poor game from both sides. Most games have been awful this tournament.

Yet in the last 6 Euros we've reached the quarter finals 6 times and the semi finals 4 times. Surely Portugal can talk about unfairness also since they never won any of the 6. Or maybe we just weren't good enough in the end?

Portugal finished 3rd in a group of 4, pretty much bottom, and haven't won a single game, yet are in a semi final. That is unfair. Your lot should be at home now. The format of the tournament will have seriously backfired on UEFA if they end up winning it

Portugal are a great tournament team.

Just doing enough to get through the group then the same for knockout phase

That's exactly what I'm criticising, the bonkers rules in this tournament. 3rd out of 4, in any other competition in the world, means you're out. This format just devalues the competition by allowing underperforming teams to reach the latter stages
