Uncapped France centre-back Samuel Umtiti is set to replace the suspended Adil Rami, while midfielder N'Golo Kante also serves a one-game ban.

If France opt for the 4-3-3 formation they began with against the Republic of Ireland then Yohan Cabaye is likely to replace Kante.

But if the French change system then Kingsley Coman or Moussa Sissoko could be promoted to the starting line-up.

Iceland may be unchanged for a fifth successive game.

Nine of Iceland's likely starting line-up begin on a booking - and another caution would rule them out of a potential semi-final.

Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny are a booking away from suspension, should France progress.

As Wales dare to dream following their defeat of Belgium, fellow debutants Iceland could be forgiven for thinking that 2016 really is the year of the underdog. The Wales camp said Iceland's shock win over England in the last 16 inspired them - so could the remarkable Welsh victory on Friday have a similar impact on the Nordic minnows?

Iceland joint-coach Heimir Hallgrimsson hopes his team will follow the example of Leicester City, this year's shock Premier League winners. "I would like it to end like it ended with Leicester," he said.

"They played to their strengths and we are trying to play to our strengths. There is the same team spirit in both teams. We are willing to work for each other."

France have been respectful in the build-up to this game. Captain Hugo Lloris stresses that "we realise that being a big nation and playing nice football is not enough to make it to the last four."

"The best teams playing the best football are no longer here," he added.

"It shows that we're back to values such as the importance of a collective effort. It's mental strength that makes the difference and that's what we will need to qualify.

"There will be no surprises for us. If we go out there just telling ourselves that we're the best and have more talent, we won't go through."

France tonight, no dispute, no scares and no mucking about. They mean business now.

I'll be rooting for the plucky Nordic wonders, though (hoping to kop for one afterward, primarily).

I will be interested to see Umtiti in action. For my sins, I have never seen him play... but he's pretty handy on FIFA so I often wonder if he'd be a good signing for us. Looking forward to forming a firm, non-negotiable opinion on him based on a single game.

Hoping Schneiderlin has a stinker so we can get him for £14m.

The chant they do when they clap we should nick it for next season but instead of "OooH!" we will chant "Mosh".

Mosh.....Mosh.....Mosh.....Mosh.....Mosh...Mosh..Mosh..Mosh..Mosh!Mosh!Mosh!Mosh!Mosh!

Lids everywhere jumping all over each other setting off blue flares...

it would nice to dream of a truly underdog final. the fire of wales v the ice of Iceland.
