someone put £127,000 on argies winning.
i would have probably passed out from worry to even whitness the winner if that was me. someday i'd love to just put all my winnings on a footy match and just make a few thousand grand as easy as that. i'd never get the luck to win though.

I was relegated to the radio again today...damn work getting in the way again. This game sounded boss...gutted for Iran, sounded like they deserved at the very least a point, if not all three.

I've yet to see any team consistently defeating tightly organized defenses like that of team Melli although it's almost universally understood that Argentina are superlative in only one area - attack
Tough loss for a very impressive Iran side, for me. I'm not a big fan of the parked bus approach but I thought they played with great spirit, fairplay and quality - even causing a lot of danger themselves. Can't overstate how crucial Romero's save was - I didn't think I'd ever say that about him.
Moment of brilliance from Leo, wondered where that had been all match
Queiroz deserves a lot of credit as Iran have been impressive in the World Cup, a lot to be proud about in the performance...All the more remarkable considering how much sanctions have affected Iran and not being able to play as many competitive friendlies ahead of the WC...Now must win against Bosnia, fortunately they know their opponent more than they knew the others

I usually look for any excuse to rag on Barca players but he was literally the only one trying out there for Argentina. Was triple and quadruple teamed when he had the ball and yet no one else on the side could be bothered to make a run.
