TBH, the game yesterday was a fairly poor display, there have been better performances than that.
The pace isn't there, and for large parts the power isn't there. However, the coaching is improving and there are some very good youth coming through (my niece played Liverpool and I watched a good number of games) Technique is getting better as there is starting to become a 'one team' approach, where there is more unity between the male and female teams. As you know, if you play with better, more accomplished players, you get better as a result (I'm not sure this is happening at Everton though)
Both City and Liverpool have thrown quite a lot of money at the ladies game, though I'm not convinced on the motives.....
