But it could have been much worse, hopefully proper treatment of head injuries is introduced soon.

Am I more sensitive to this subject because of all of the really sad stories from former NFL players over here LL?

It just seems insane to me that he was allowed back on the pitch after that hit.

Probably, along with having Taylor Twellman on ESPN whose own issues with concussion make his co-commentators highlight the dangers. But I think English media is beginning to move on from on from Terry Butcher days as well.

The argies are absolutely horrendous. Been in rio for the final, never seen a kick off like it and heard it was worse in buenos Aries. The only team at the wc with thoroughly rude and arrogant fans, and they have one [Poor language removed] song that they sang repeatedly throughout. Constantly had them shouting abuse at anyone and everyone, especially if wearing an England shirt and it was always when they were in numbers. Saw one beaut with a map of the Falklands tattooed to his back. Weapons. Luckily I was watching the final in a German themed bar on the beach and the Germans were excellent. Never been fond of them but they've got a bit of love from me now.

Mad that. Happened to our centre back not long ago. Got his head smashed with about 10 minutes of the first half left, carried on and just randomly dropped after heading it on about the 60 minute mark. Didn't remember anything after the first incident. Scary, really.

Unfortunately think it might take a serious injury or even death to a player before they bring in proper protocols - it look them long enough to bring in vanishing spray and goal line technology and those are trivial in comparison.
