We did win, you know.
Yes we did, we won our fifth home game of the season as we slogged away to hang on to a 2-1 victory over the mighty Bournemouth. This win changes nothing, all the normal problems still there for all to see. Deluded yourself if you must but don't make out that those of us who simply say things like it is are the bad guys.

For passion , yes Hibbo,
Gibson knocked the ball around well today, but both of them , the legs have gone. Bainsey had his best game for a long time.Pennington did well after getting knocked off the ball twice early on, but other wise not good enough.
mom the lads who stayed behind, when thousands did nothing !

Wait, what are you arguing here? No one (except possibly Martinez) thinks beating Bournemouth somehow redeems the season, but that doesn't mean there were any negatives to take from yesterday. We played a good game for the first time in weeks. Hibbert played really well. Hell, our entire defense played really well apart from the kid switching off for their goal. That doesn't at all mean that Martinez has all of a sudden figured out how to organize a defense and everything is fine now, but it's just silly to somehow be upset that we won a match.

Who said I'm upset we won?! I just don't agree we played that well, I think the same old problems we're on display for all to see and I'm sorry but when Hibbo is seriously a contender for MOTM then something is badly wrong with the other players on the pitch.

Sorry, I disagree. The biggest problems we've had this season have been an utterly disorganized defense making individual errors, a lack of command of our own penalty area, a vulnerability to set pieces, and a tendency to concede goals late in the half or in stoppage time. Apart from Pennington getting caught out a bit on the goal (and he had an excellent game otherwise), none of those problems exhibited themselves yesterday. Yeah, it wasn't the best opposition, but we thoroughly deserved to win the match.

Does the verdict of the Hillsoborough jury and the fantastic reception and applause before the game mean an end to the disgusting use of the M-word chant, especially at the away derby? About time, please.

Totally separate issue Scruffy.
Can't say I've ever used the m-word chant, but it is absolutely nothing related to Hillsborough.

John Stones, Pennington both played well. Ross good in patches. Baines played well. But the prize has to go to Hibbo who played like he'd never been away, and actually forced their keeper to make a save!
