The problem was the two strikers, Vellios and Silva. Anybody who is holding any hope that either of these will ever break into the first team and bang the goals in should give up now. They were awful. There were three scouts sitting in front of me from Wigan, Charlton and West Brom and i doubt any of them will go back to look at either of them. Neither of them looked like scoring, their link up play was awful and didn't seem to want to get involved at all.

All part of the master plan to keep the other clubs off our future prized assets....

I just assumed it was because both reserve left backs were out on loan and Everton love a player out of position.
