Gueye was absolutely superb. Set the tempo of the first half and is surprisingly handy at getting forward as well, which I wasn't expecting. Much more strength and fight in the side and you can see they are keen to impress the manager. Organised and tidy, with a solid first half. Koeman was spot on about fitness levels, hopefully we should to see them at 100% soon. Only concern for me is squad depth. Spurs made the necessary changes to get them some points, will we be as equipped to do so further in the season without quality in depth in the cm/cam and striking positions? In all today went as expected

Some points? How many is a draw lol

Agree with all this, except the description of McCarthy as "terrific". The other three you name certainly were terrific though.
I singled him out mate because after having a dreadful season and seemingly out of the picture under Koeman I was a bit surprised to see him in the starting line-up and playing slightly out of position. But he stepped up, so all things considered I thought it was a really good performance.

And...

He plays alongside Ross Barkley! Together for Everton FC!!

Lots of positives today.... especially holding on to the draw. That group was largely lacking in confidence in the final 10 min of matches last year and I wouldn't underestimate the value of holding on to a result.
Steak narrowly shading Geuye as MOM
Holgate was composed for a 19 yr old / Jags put in a real shift.
Great for Ross to score as he is another one that needs a strong start.
Fitness will improve / hopefully squad will be strengthened and we will be more able to meet the managers expectations.

Toss up between gana n stekelenburg.

Gana was superb in that 1st half before fading after the hour mark. He was all over the pitch, letting the spurs players know that he was around. Used the ball intelligently as well once he got it, looking to move forward.

Goalie kept us in it with some fine saves 2nd half. Great reactions from him.

Overall can't complain about that display n result!

Nice report Andy, hard choice between Marvin and Stickyback , but will go with Stek, that second save in particular was worthy of a peak Southall and there's no greater compliment I can give than that.

Yeah. I thought it was his best match in a while. Not perfect, certainly, but good and much better than expected.
