Robles excellent and Coleman, Lennon, Stones, Mori And Barry hit what I would call an acceptable level. The rest bordered on below average to downright awful.
If you accept that Coleman is not quick enough and always makes the same moves on overlaps, I guess he was okay. It was interesting watching him go after a much larger CP player (sorry, I was watching Benefica and Atletico in addition to EVE) after the match. Kinda like watching a yorkie go after a pitbull. Lennon, as much as I like him as a player, was invisible compared to his typical hustling performance. Must be the Aruna Dohne' effect (hey! I'm in front of the net with this round thing...what shall I do ?? Hmmmmm.....Oh, that's right! Shoot!!!! Meanwhile, the defense shuts him down immediately).
I can't see the big thing about Stones lately, but maybe its just the overall backline strategy and performance, which has been crap this whole season. It's mentioned every single broadcast by Snods and Daz. Mori....see Stones. Barry ? So necessary at MF, but I'd really rather that he just goes postal early to get his late game antics out of his system. Or get another real offensive midfielder to go along with him for next season when he retires at 36. And find another defensive MF to replace him with. After you replace Bagdad Boobie. After Lukaku and Stones are bought by other teams. But hey! What about that new stadium, eh ?
Yes, a tongue in cheek approach. Things can change quickly in football, but it takes money and initiative. Maybe the two will meet up shortly.
