Robles excellent and Coleman, Lennon, Stones, Mori And Barry hit what I would call an acceptable level. The rest bordered on below average to downright awful.

If you accept that Coleman is not quick enough and always makes the same moves on overlaps, I guess he was okay. It was interesting watching him go after a much larger CP player (sorry, I was watching Benefica and Atletico in addition to EVE) after the match. Kinda like watching a yorkie go after a pitbull. Lennon, as much as I like him as a player, was invisible compared to his typical hustling performance. Must be the Aruna Dohne' effect (hey! I'm in front of the net with this round thing...what shall I do ?? Hmmmmm.....Oh, that's right! Shoot!!!! Meanwhile, the defense shuts him down immediately).

I can't see the big thing about Stones lately, but maybe its just the overall backline strategy and performance, which has been crap this whole season. It's mentioned every single broadcast by Snods and Daz. Mori....see Stones. Barry ? So necessary at MF, but I'd really rather that he just goes postal early to get his late game antics out of his system. Or get another real offensive midfielder to go along with him for next season when he retires at 36. And find another defensive MF to replace him with. After you replace Bagdad Boobie. After Lukaku and Stones are bought by other teams. But hey! What about that new stadium, eh ?

Yes, a tongue in cheek approach. Things can change quickly in football, but it takes money and initiative. Maybe the two will meet up shortly.

With regard to Rom trying to gee the crowd up: its a shame he didnt expend the the same amount of energy playing football. We just couldnt see any reason why he was so knackered! But to be fair to him, he wasnt the only one.
Really? You couldn't see why he might be knackered? He's made 40 starts this season and been the focus of two or three defenders for most of them. He's been run into the ground this season, just like he was last season.

I cant be watching the same games as everyone else then. I'm trying to recall the ones where he's put a shift in! I'll be back in a while.....

Wait until he starts 55+ for a champions league team next year. I mean just imagine how tough it must be for him having to be arsed for 55 x 90 minute games ! Wont somebody think of the £100k a week poor soul !
Chat crap about champions league on international duty, do nothing for 5 games, score against united in the semi, then start the cycle again. His Comments on Belgium duty have really wound me up.

Sorry mate, that is grossly unfair on Rom.
Granted he wasn't great at Palace, but he got little service or proper support.
To suggest that he rarely puts a shift in is really unfair as there have been games, certainly at home this season where he's played excellently and looked absolutely knackered at the end... and having played just about every minute of every game, he's surely entitled - if that's the right word - to be cut a little bit of slack occasionally?

I hope he scores tomorrow, I hope he scores on Wednesday and I hope he smashes home a winner against Manure in the semi. I hope that somehow he's still wearing our jersey next season and contributes another 20+ goals season and that it's Everton not another club who help him and us achieve our dreams of glory.

I also hope he scores, in every game he plays in, especially as an Everton player. With any luck he will!
