I can kinda understand him getting a judgement call wrong on the penalty. He was conned, and he fell for it, but he's human.

But for the two red cards, he's just ignored the rules. You can create your own theories as to why, but he knew he was supposed to send off Walters and Adam but opted not to.

He did cost us a point today. A point wouldn't have been a good result at all, but it would have been something. And against 10 for 60 minutes, maybe it could have been more.

Worse yet, it's about sixth time it's happened this season. We are dreadful, which is probably why absolutely nothing is going out way.

Correct. Refs dont get enough criticism when they blatantly cost teams points. Nobody wants to be seen as the bad loser, blaming the ref for their own failings, but there's no reason you cant bemoan your own failings but also realise that the ref has cost you too. s bad as were, and as much as we made an absolute balls up of our free kick to present them with the chance of the penalty, it is still the ref who gave the wrong decision, and gave Stoke a chance of a goal when they never created a chance all day

He cost us more than a point, imo.

If he sends Walters off and they're down to ten men we win the match. Absolutely no doubt in my mind.

drove home through blizzards and jack knifed lorries, just seen the MOTD highlights and ref was disgraceful. how many inept refs have we had this season? ridiculous.

Having just seen MOTD the only thing you can say in defence of Mason is that he is far from being alone in being dire. The Baines decision was as simple as can be. It's decisions like that which change games completely. We were awful in the second half but the rules were just not applied. They really should be brought out to explain those decisions straight after the game. Diving hard to spot, offsides often hard to call, that red card as text book as you can get.

He also never sent Wickham off for sunderland when he was the last man last time.

Clearly doesn't know the rules which is a disgrace

it's more than that how. how was he conned by bojan, but not conned by mirallas earlier? both were dives, but there was actually contact on mirallas. bojan was looking for it as soon as he got into the area and the fingernail he received was enough.

the fact of the matter is, it's a clear dive and a cheat has again single handedly won a game of football. retorespective action? nah ban the cheat? nah give his team 3 points? why not, it is entertainment after all :s

the FA seem to think this is WWE atm as it seems more of entertainment business than a sport.

Dead on.

Every bit of it.

When you're struggling, referee mistakes are magnified to the 'nth degree. Marriner and Mason were horrid.
