Player Valuation: £70m
Story on SSN through today with Readings manager claiming he's been told that a number of key decisions have gone against them because they never appealed enough.

Clearly we are one of the best behaved sides in the league with regards to repsecting other players and officials, but should we be changing our ways?

I'm not a fan of giving sides an advantage, which I think other teams get by thier ****ty behaviour, but surely now this is out in the open we need to change how we behave?

I'm a bit shocked that a match official has openly admitted this TBH.

Qu'elle surprise! Snidey sides like the ****e and United crowd the ref at every opportunity and lo and behold, they start getting calls going their way. Of course, the ****e never had to crowd Clattenburg. One brief word from Stevie Starfish was sufficient.

I think we need to lower ourselves to this level TBH. We'll wait a lifetime for other clubs or the FA to get the game to ours.

captain phil only protests to the ref to stop the opposition players getting booked or sent off, i have seen it with my own eyes so i have

I've said this for years and I'm always told it's not the "Everton way", which is a feckin' Kopite phrase if I ever heard one but there you go.

It's professional football, so our team should look to take every professional advantage to win a game. If that means simulation, surrounding the ref, wrestling people to the ground when defending a corner, winding up opponents by calling them a **** etc. then so be it. It's not up to us to "play fair", it's up to the authorities to ensure everyone plays fair.

I think its just human nature really though. As much as we'd love it if referees were always 100 % neutral and uninfluenced by other factors its just not possible.

If a ref knows that if he gives a decision against a team and is going to get loads of players screaming at him he's more likely to give it in their favour, same reasons why referees are often known as honers because they won't want the home fans giving them hassle.

So unless the authorities actually clamp down on any harassing of referees the clubs whose players do it will get more 50/50 decisions than clubs who dont.

I am proud of how we don't badger and harass referees. Even my missus noticed that we seem to accept most decisions without too much fuss (and she is a casual observer at best). I would love for us to continue that way but we suffer because of it .. catch 22.

Biggest moaner I've seen on the pitch ... Dalglish
