Thanks Alan. Just a quick point. I was going to write an article on refs after the Atlkinson decision. It turns out that a ref books 4 people on average per match, so he's just within that average. Only one red card is very encouraging, but that might be famous last words.
 
A card happy ref is probably the best we could hope for against Bolton, horrible bunch they are, the amount of times they'll kick you on the half way line and not get booked is scandalous. They (and most importantly Kevin Davies) wont get away with their bullying.
 

He owes us 1 after not giving the stonewall peno against villa for the trip on baines right in front of him. We led 2-1 at the time and and would have went on to take 3 points instead of 1.
 
Is 3 yellows a game really that many?

The average is 4 bookings per game, which is not bad if you consider that there is on average 22 fouls per match.

He's not the worst in terms of bookings, but clearly his fault lies ,elsewhere including allowing Villa's equalising goal when their striker used Distin as a ladder
