Now that the silliness is over for the start of another thread, are we really surprised?

It seems that every week there's allegations in one sport or another. Makes me sick.

If you were a kid today getting into whatever sport, why would you aim high? End up doing your best and for what? To end up in the pocket of cheats?

Sad state of some parts of the modern world.

I have known of a bent snooker game, and I bet on it.
I have known of a Prem league ref also.
NOTHING surprises me.

A county cricketer can make 5 years wages off a few bad balls ? Don't tell me no one would not be tempted.

Matt LeTissier admitted something along those lines didn't he? Betting on throw ins or something?

John Higgins was done as well wasn't he?

From a spectators' point of view, that's crap, and disappointing. For me anyway.

John Higgins is bent. End of.

Le Tiss was into the spot stuff. Time of first throw in etc. TBF, Wimbledon lads started that. I remember at Goodison them lashing the kick off out for a throw in.

In fact Groucho, I bet on a spot myself the other day. Market was 'a throw in in the first minute'.

It didn't happen.. And it's utter murder watching it getting passed about.

John Higgins looks more and more like Alec Salmond as the years go by. Anyway....

Still, the whole lot leaves me feeling a bit world-weary and slightly jaded.
