There was a bloke on about 5 years ago who’s specialist subject was Everton FC. I got more right than him. The same chap was on the following year, specialist subject, Warrington Wolves. I got more than him that time too. He’s probably a GoT poster

I was listening to a pod recently, some lady who writes for the guardian applied and talked of her experience.

They have 'qualifiers' and an interview. If you're accepted you have to tell them your preferred specialist subject, and even if it's quite mainstream it can be rejected. She wanted to do 'The Kardashians' (!!!) but the BBC got back and said no, seems odd. She instead went for 'Greys Anatomy' despite admitting she was only a casual viewer. Of course, they accepted that.
