He's been ESPN' analysist right through the world cup, but last night ESPN confirmed Roberto Martinez has left to return back to his club. RM is quite hands on and I couldnt imagine Everton undertaking signings without him there. For him to leave at the best time of the WC (semi and final) must mean some things are beginning to happen behind the scenes;

-Gareth Barry transfer

-Romelu Lukaku just got knocked out of WC and hes returning all of a sudden. Rom is probably the key to the transfer merry go round (no dealings done until Roms future is decided)

-Man City' bid for Ross Barkley

Have we signed anyone then? They have wifi on planes these days.

Manchester city haven't bid for Ross Barkley
just because u dont see it in the papers doesnt mean to say it hasnt happened. If any club is to bid for barkley now is the best time he has alow paid 2 year contract

If City had bid for Barkley someone close to either club would have got wind of it.

Also no Everton players are left in the World Cup, maybe there's a planned meeting before holidays/preseason etc.

It was decided before he left that he would return before the semi finals, so wouldn't read too much into it in regards to transfers

Hopefully means we'll start signing people.

Preferably Barkley and Stones to extend and Lukaku to start with (not much to ask for).
