Im a big believer in (injuries aside) keeping a winning side with the winning formation and positions. However, Saturday was absolutely shocking defending. The sooner we have McCarthy running round that pitch again and Stones alongside Jags the better. Distin has been a great servant but it really is time to move on

Stats show Distin is better, but he is 37 - we do not need a 37 year old in our team. What other team in the league has a 37 defender?

Yep, Jags hasn't been good for a while now either. But in the realistic short term we only have Stones to come in and replace one of them. If I had to choose one of them to be replaced it would be Distin. I feel he has more mistakes in him than Jags

Distin is slightly better on the stats (we need Jags to play LCB to see what the stats are like then) - my point is we should not have a 37 year old defender in the team. No other top team does, why do we. Distin is well past his best, but still gets picked.

Personally I prefer Stones and Jags to play (we shall see what RM does).
