Everton are vying with Celtic for Rosenborg midfield prospect Markus Henriksen according to reports.

Tribal Football cite a report in the Daily Mail that Everton have joined the race for the 19 year-old — The Times were also apparently linking him with a move to Goodison today as well and Google searches also bring up references to Henriksen and Everton on various Swedish sites.

Henriksen, who is also being tracked by Benfica, said of the speculation: "“There has been interest from clubs in me since I was 15 so I am used to it!

“When it feels like the right time for me, I'll leave and it would need to be at a club where I can play first-team football.â€￾
