Why on earth would a whole load of people who have nothing to do with this ruining the lives of a whole load of people who also have nothing to do with this be a good thing?

I hope they appeal it - the "lawful killing" decision is a bit of a nonsense after all (what the decision probably meant to say was that the officer was acting lawfully when they fired (ie: they honestly thought Duggan had a gun), which is quite a bit different from saying Duggan was lawfully killed (ie: they had a reason to shoot him)) - but some of the things that people are coming out with are just daft.
