This wont last long.

But guilty of being caught. Been done countless times. War aint nice really.

It's a tough call, but from his own comments he knew what he was doing was illegal. Compare his actions with the armed police who shot Lee Rigby's killers. 45 seconds later, they're performing first aid on the person they shot.

The judge's summing up puts it plainly enough, if our forces act like the terrorists, then we are no better than them. Having said that, I am surprised that more hasn't been made of the stress that these men must be under operating in Afghanistan.

just gave the fella what he would have got if the tables were turned, its war, but one side has its hands tied behind its back while conducting it, pick up a rifle expect to get shot, if you dont want to, dont take up arms.If one of them did it to one of lads he is a hero freedom fighter, are s go to jail not on an equal footing.

It's cold blood but if he'd of shot him with a sniper rifle from hundreds of yards away would it have been different. The fella wouldnt of hesitated to kill him had it been the other way around. I suppose if they'd been shotting at your mates and maybe even killed a few of them you'd love to get your hands on them.

Rules are rules though.

the pressure there under nik its a wonder it dosnt happen more ofter really, dont know why we bother it will go tits up as soon as we leave, should be like japan have an army that just protects the county nothing else.

i feel a bit conflicted about this one as i am a serviceman myself,i can kind of see why he did it but i also cannot excuse his behaviour as we are bound by very strict rules of engagement,

I'd imagine it'd very hard not to pull the trigger if he'd been shotting at you and your mates. I'd dread to think what would have happened if he'd have been captured.

This nails it for me.

We've got no good reason to be there, we don't NEED to be the world's policeman, frankly I hate the policy. Just let them crack on.
