Marijuana-scented scratch-and-sniff cards are being posted to hundreds of households in a bid to detect illegal cannabis farms.
Crimestoppers, which runs the campaign, said the cards would help people to recognise the smell of cannabis and report suspected plantations to police.
The charity said there was a 15% rise in the number of cannabis farms found in homes between 2011 and 2012.

More money wasted on the 'war on drugs'. Well in.

... it's one thing to try to stop meth labs (which can explode) but all that effort to stop people growing a harmless plant?

Plus how can they be sure being exposed to the smell of that dangerous substance won't send people spiralling into a fatal drug binge? They are essentially mailing out advertisements for the world's most poisonous substance!*

* Joking FFS ... it's easier to overdose on water than pot.

anyone caught using should be given mandatory community service + rehab anyone caught dealing mandatory 5 years NO early release that would send out the message the amount of young dealers straight out of school is disgraceful.
