Managing music collections

Had a look but I dont see what discogs will do for me. I don't want too find new music or buy it that way, I want to rationalise my own collection on a pc.

You can create 'Collections' on the Discogs website and add all of your current albums on there (has the added bonus of letting you choose the actual edition you own). I use it as a point of reference when I'm buying vinyl to check that i'm not replicating something I already own

I'm aiming for a lazy solution really. I want something to scan my hdd and give me a list/database. Then give me the option to move files into a logical order and delete duplicates or inferior copies.

Russian can often scan your HDD for free. Try finding a stream of something you want to watch and by times it’s finished your files will be sorted and your bank account will be empty.

If you have time, Plex lets you save everything neatly on your server at home - music, videos, podcasts whatever, and access from an app on your phone etc. I started, but life took over and never finished. 30 day free trial should be clear if is for you or not

Edit - It's grown since I last saw it. 60 million item online library you can merge with your own for Spotify sort of price, and ensures you have highest quality FDAC if available.
