In the last 25 years, I'm just wondering who has been given a job and done as woefully as Martinez, or worse?

It has to be relative to what the prior performance of the club was and fan expectation.

The most obvious recent one is Moyes at UTD.

Billy Davies at Derby in 2007 when he won just 7% of his games in charge before being released. Sammy Lee at Bolton as well.

Felix Magath at Fulham (after René who wasn't too good himself) was also pretty unsuccessful when you look at his past successes.
