Manager, Long Term.

It needs to be officially announced soon after the final game, but it should be agreed well beforehand, with the incoming manager watching videos of the matches and identifying transfer targets before it's all made public. Same with the new director of football, if we're getting one. The window is too short to leave things late, and we can't afford another window chasing and not getting targets.

Agreed mate. I hope it's done soon, transfer targets sorted, players shipped out and Walsh blasted off into the sun.

I can see the draw in Dyche for some. He could be a bit like Moyes...long term stability like this thread said/asked. If you want that Dyche is your man. But is he a man for ambitious club? Thats the question. Tthink he's no better than Moyes.

Ive started to warm towards Arteta. He was brilliant for us and still is loved, Inexperienced but has been in good school lately, eh? He could be long term and i believe could bring School, of Science back. I would prefer him over Silva, yes i would.

Hmmmmm...Fonseca....who wouldnt be excited, i'll bet even impotents would feel tickling in their wangs if we would get him. But i have a feeling he wouldnt be long term manager for us. If that is what you crave.
He is progressive and exciting though and i think he could take us to the next level. School of science would be open again.

Arteta has done nothing whatsoever to deserve a job as big as Everton.

Unthinkably risky and naive appointment that would reek of bills romance and sentimentality clouding his already poor judgement again.

Do not understand why fans let this stuff cloud a reasonable evaluation. Same thing with unsworth and people voting him ahead of proven managers like Simone and mourinho.

The mind boggles.

but neither of those is an option.

I’ve got some glaring issues with Arteta regardless of his reputation as a good coach:

- Unsworth is regarded as a really good coach, has managed our youth teams (Arteta hasnt) whilst failing in the big job. What’s to say the lesser experienced Arteta could succeed?
- Who would his coaching staff be? He doesn’t come with a team of qualified personnel like a Fonseca.
- Just what roles/responsibilities has he experienced at City? Being a manager involves a lot more than just coaching players.
