It's my godson's birthday today.

Anyway, for a while I've been thinking about what to get him that'll be better than any of his other uncles get him. I wanna make sure I've got a place in his exec box when he plays for the blues, but I also wanted something I can play with too?

So far I'm thinking about a small scale racing electric racing speedboat to take on the local park lake to chase the ducks with.

Anyone got any other suggestions, or things you've bought, that I can play with too.

One of mine is getting a remote control Helicopter for Christmas, purely because I've always wanted one. He'll have no idea what to do with it so naturally I'll have to do some extensive tutoring

I got one of them last Christmas, it was ace until I lost the charging cable. It was great fun terrorising the cats with it.

Great minds! I was tempted with the helicopters. There was a plane too that does a proper take off an all that caper. £200 notes was a bit steep though.

Yeah you need something decent enough that it's not going to break into a million pieces on landing, stupid money some of them though. The boat idea's a good one though, anything that terrifies wildlife is a winner.

Air hogs are fine for indoor use lads.. Get a half decent one for around £20 !

I had a look on amazon for a welshman, sold out.

There's a deal on a website called Troopsave where you can get a remote control chinook for 40 notes, although you'll need to find someone in the forces and pinch their service number to get it. I'd post the link but I haven't posted enough yet. Any quick way round this?

Cheers lar. I'll google it now. I'll give my old number a bash, you never know.

It'll work if you're a vet yeah - I'm a reservist and they let me in so fill your boots! Just had a look at the chinook deal and it expired a while ago sadly (was gonna get one myself), but there's other quirky stuff on there too and new deals every day with fat discounts. Decent site all in like.

You could probably get an actual real chinook for £40...

Scary things they are.
